Essence Super-Fine Eyeliner Pen Review

January 08, 2013 | , , , , , , , , , ,
For me, felt tip eyeliners make liquid eyeliner application so easy! I love how they distribute the product and they're much more convenient than a gel liner and brush. At the moment I've really been enjoying Essence's Superfine Eyeliner Pen.
"The all-rounder amongst eyeliners! The Super-Fine Eyeliner Pen is riding on the trend waves straight out of the USA and Asia! This extremely long-lasting precision eyeliners has a particularly slim felt-tip applicator ideal for creating fine, subtle liner looks as well as extravagant and dramatic styles."

The tip of this eyeliner is incredibly pointed, meaning it allows each line to be super precise. Whether it's a fine liner or dramatic flick, the Essence Super-Fine Eyeliner Pen makes it super easy!
This eyeliner is really black. It's one of the blackest felt tipped liners I've tried in a very long time. I don't ever feel the need to go over the liner I've drawn because, for me, one application is more than sufficient.

Whilst this product works fantastic for me, I don't think it's for everyone. If you have oily eyelids, I , unfortunately, would not recommend it. This eyeliner is not waterproof. I found this out the hard way, yes, when I had a 'too funny' moment and found myself crying with laughter. Oops.

Whilst that could be enough to turn people off a product, the other qualities of this eyeliner have kept me using it. On hot days I tend to gravitate towards pencil liner but it's the Essence Super-Fine Eyeliner Pen that I much prefer. It's even helped me with my eyeliner flicks!

The Essence Super-Fine Eyeliner Pen wears very well on me, lasting a whole day with minimal to no fading.

All in all, I really like this product. I recommend it to everyone, especially those who aren't sure about felt tip eyeliner. At only $4.95, there's nothing to lose! This product can be purchased from Target and Priceline.

** Please be aware: This product was sent me for review, however all opinions are my own. I was not paid for this review.

What do you think about this liner? Have you given it a try? Do you think you will?

Always look your best,
Sophie

    1. I know what you mean, that can be so frustrating! I've had mine about three months now and it's only just started drying out. Not bad I don't think! xx

  3. I prefer either the Stila or Mac Liquid Liners... for Oily lids, I have found that a good primer stopped that problem and I used Lime Crime because it is waterproof

    1. I haven't tried them, Sarah! I have so many other eyeliners to get through before I think about trying something new. Have heard great things about both of them though, so I might have to invest in one or the other! x

    1. I totally understand, Mishelle. It's been disgusting here lately, hasn't it? The only time I ever found it run was when I cried from laughter, however, so I wonder how it would hold up in the epic heat. x

    1. They sure do, Amy! I've only got one Essence eyeshadow and it's in a bright green (I picked it up for an upcoming costume party and I didn't want to invest in a more expensive one) but I'm really impressed with it. I'll definitely be picking a couple more up. x
