Clean & Clear Deep Cleansing Wipes Review

Face wipes have always confused me. I honestly don't know what I'm meant to use them for. Do I use them to remove make up? Do I use them in place of cleanser? There's just so many questions. For that reason alone I tend to steer clear of them. In saying that, however, there is one brand of face wipes that I always go back to.

The Clean and Clear Deep Action Cleansing Wipes have made regular appearances in my skincare routine for years. To be honest, I think I first tried these about five years ago and, regardless of now many face wipes I try, I always find myself gravitating towards these ones.

Whilst some people could find the scent of this product overwhelming or unpleasant, I actually really like it. I'm terrible at explaining smells so, as always, I'm not going to attempt to. I will, however, tell you that deep action cleansing solution smells very refreshing.

I don't use these wipes as a substitute to cleanser. I just can't. Even on my laziest days I don't feel right unless I wash my face. Instead, I use these wipes to remove make up. I find that they remove almost everything. Occasionally I use two wipes to ensure everything is removed, especially when I don't plan on cleansing my face straight after.

The Clean and Clear Deep Action Cleansing Wipes are the only face wipes I've ever tried that haven't broken me out. Badly. In the past I've tried Priceline, Neutrogena and Face of Australia wipes, all of which irritated my combination/oily skin. These ones, however, were absolutely fine! There is no reaction and I am never apprehensive about using them. A true indication of a good face product, right?

These wipes are smaller than traditional make up wipes, probably about half/a quarter of the size. They are also a lot thicker. Whilst the outer cotton of Clean and Clear Deep Action Cleansing Wipes is quite textured (not abrasive but ensures oil/make up is removed), the inside is quite soft to hold the cleansing solution. I find that this, as well as the packaging of the wipes, ensures that they are all very moist.

The packaging of this product surpasses any other wipes I've ever tried. Whilst most other face wipes come in a compact plastic packet, The Clean and Clear Deep Action Cleansing Wipes are packaged in a blue box. This box ensures that the wipes remain moisture. Much like any other face wipes, the box is sealed with a sticker.

As I'm sure you can tell, I really like the Clean and Clear Deep Action Cleansing Wipes. They've been so loyal to me over the years and I will continue to repurchase them. At only $9.99 (from Priceline) for 46 wipes I think they're fantastic value and I recommend them to everyone, regardless of their skin type.

** This product was sent me for review, however all opinions are my own. I was not paid for this review.

What do you think of think of these wipes? Have you given them a try? Do you have face wipes that you recommend?

Always look your best,
Sophie

  1. It's great that these stay moist. There's nothing worse than getting to the bottom of the package only for the last few to be dried out.
