Want it Wednesday: YSL Mascara Volume Effect Faux Cils Shocking

When it comes to beauty gurus on YouTube, to me they don't get much better than FluerDeForce. Fleur is a lovely English girl who has fantastic taste in beauty products, especially cosmetics.

Fleur is a big fan of YSL's Mascara Volume Effect Faux Cils Shocking. I have a few YSL beauty products and, whilst I like them, I don't LOVE them. This product, however, sounds absolutely amazing, like it could easily become a staple.

As much as I'd like to try this mascara, it retails for $52.00AUD (being $30.00 in the US). Whilst it would be okay for a one off product purchase, I'm scared I'd love it and not want anything else. I'm sure you understand what I mean.

Have you tried any cosmetics from YSL, especially their mascara? Want to know what I bought from them? Click here to see my haul. Let me know if you'd like reviews of these products.

Always look your best,
Sophie

  1. For me this was just an OKAY mascara. Other people love this mascara, it just wasn't anything special for my lashes.

  2. I love FleurDeForce. I went to bed a little bit late last night as I stayed up watching her videos! I think the AUS price tag is way too high for this. It might be worth trying out if you get it from the US though, seeing as how $30 is only $10 more than a Priceline mascara (Maybelline etc) here.

    1. Hi, Jen - I love her too. She's so elegant and beautiful. Her hair looked amazing in her November Favourites too!
I totally agree. I was thinking the same thing actually. When my Max Factor mascara was available it was sold for $24.95, only $5.00 more than this mascara would be in the US.
If I ever place an order with Sephora through PriceUSA, this will definitely be on my list. x

    1. I have the Touché Éclat but, to be honest, I'm not that impressed with it. I think I expected it to give me more coverage.
I've seen the kit you're talking about though and I almost bought it for a friend.
Would love to know what you think! x
