What's in my mailbox? #3

On Tuesday afternoon I arrived home to find two parcels waiting for me. Well no, that's a lie. My Mum messaged me during the day to say they arrived and, being the impatient like so and so that I am, I spent the next couple of hours counting down the minutes until I could head home.

As I said, I two parcels waiting for me; One was from Beauty Bay and the other was a selection of Real Techniques brushes that I'd been able to get my hands on.

My BeautyBay.com order contained one product for me, as well as two things that I've bought for my friend's birthday. She occasionally reads this blog so, unfortunately, I'm not able to haul her present. I can, however, show you guys what I bought!

I finally bought myself an Urban Decay Setting Spray! I've heard and read such amazing things about this product and gave in to temptation. I was recently talking to a friend of mine who said her Urban Decay Setting Spray was one of the best things she's ever bought. If that's not reason enough to buy it, I don't know what is!

I decided to get the All Nighter one, as opposed to De Slick, as my skin has become a lot less oily lately and I didn't want to dry it out. I've used this twice now and I'm really impressed, so stay tuned for a review!

I also ordered a selection of brushes from Real Techniques. I already have a few Real Techniques brushes (click here to see the haul) but, of course, I had to have more.

I ordered the following brushes -
  • Stippling Brush
  • Blush Brush
  • Setting Brush
  • Core Collection containing a contour brush, pointed foundation brush, detailer brush and buffing brush
I'm enjoying using these brushes, although I thought I'd like a couple more than I do, and I hope to review them all very soon.

So, ladies, have you tried any of these products before? What's your favourite primer? Do you like Real Techniques brushes? So many questions! Can't wait to hear your answers!

Always look your best,
Sophie

  2. I LOVE Real Techniques brushes. I also purchased the Core Collection not too long ago, and I'm so impressed! I want MOARR!!! (maybe after my spending ban... although I haven't bought myself a birthday present... nor a graduation present...)

As for primers, hmmm... tough question... I haven't really found my HG primer as all the primers I've used so far have helped with foundation application and making my makeup stay on for longer. I'm currently using MAC Prep + Prime (at the bf's place), and make up for ever HD primer (apricot I think it's called) at home. I've also used Benefit's Porefessional, which also does a good job in making pores seem smaller.
