I've always been a bit of a fan of beauty TAGS. In the past I've done the Beauty Would You Rather TAG? as well as the Seven Deadly Sins of Beauty TAG. I was looking through my Blogger Reading List and and a blog I'm subscribed to, Beauty in a Bottle, uploaded this TAG earlier today. I love reading other people's answers whilst deciding what I'd choose myself, so let's get into it!
Makeup
1. Blush or bronzer? Surprisingly, bronzer. I'm a big fan of contouring at the moment so I don't know what I'd do without my bronzers.
2. Lipgloss or lipstick? Lipstick. I love the colour pay off of lipsticks and just prefer the way they make my lips feel.
3. Chapstick or lip butter? Chapstick. I'm a big fan of lip balms and, although I love my lip butters, I prefer lip balms for moisturising.
4. Matte or sparkle eye shadow? If they mean shimmer, I'd definitely go for 'sparkle'. I really like the look of a light wash of shimmer over my eyes. If, however, sparkle means hardcore sparkles/glitter, it's definitely matte.
5. Eyeliner or mascara? Definitely mascara. I couldn't live without my Max Factor Lash Extension Effect mascara.
6. Gel, liquid, cream or pencil eyeliner? They all have their role and work best with certain looks. As far as application etc. goes, I'm loving my gel and pencil liners at the moment, although my marker style liquid liners are fast becoming favourites.
7. Foundation or concealer? Foundation for sure.
8. Liquid or powder foundation? Liquid. It provides better coverage and, to be honest, I prefer the feel.
9. Neutral or statement eyes? Neutral. Statement eyes intimidate me.
10. Pressed or loose shadow? Pressed. I make way too much mess with loose and, to be honest, I just prefer pressed.
11. Waterproof or non-waterproof? Non waterproof. I don't find that my mascara rubs off, even in summer, so waterproof isn't necessary.
12. Brush, sponges or fingers? Brushes. I have soo many brushes (and yes, I want more) and they each do a fantastic job.
13. Powder, cream or liquid highlighter? I haven't tried cream highlighters (recommendations please) but I love my Aveda liquid highlighter. It looks more natural than any others I've tried, including Benefit's High Beam.
14. Contouring or no contouring? Contouring! I love the way a bit of contouring makes my face look!
15. Red, bright or nude lips? All! Each have a place in, in my opinion.
Nails
1. OPI or Essie? Essie. In fact, I just painted my nails with Essie's California Coral.
2. Acrylic or natural? Natural, for sure. I had acrylics on for my sister's wedding recently but they ruin your nails!
3. Brights or darks? I'm trying to be more adventurous and go with brights but I love how darks go with everything.
4. Matte or shiny? Shiny, I think..
5. Glitter or no glitter? No glitter. Although, in saying that, I want to buy this (or this) purely for the glitter polish.
6. Short, medium or long? Medium.
Body
1. Perfume or body spray? Perfume. Definitely perfume.
2. Lotion or body butter? Lotion. Body butters are way too heavy.
3. Body wash or soap? Soap. I love body washes (especially LUSH ones that smell amazing) but I feel like soap does a better job.
4. Self tanners, tanning salon or au naturale? Au naturale. I don't mind gradual tanning lotions but there's nothing more unattractive than a girl who looks over tanned.
5. Body brush, exfoliating glove or body scrub? Body brush. I love using my body brush.
Anyway, ladies and gents, that's my This or That? Beauty TAG. I tag you ALL in this post so I'd love to see your answers. If you're a blogger, I'd love for you to link me to your tag post below. If you're not a blogger, I'd love it if you commented below with your answers below.
