Today, July 8, is my 20th birthday. Eek, I've halfway to 40! Someone's getting old! Anyway, I've decided to share some of the things I got for my birthday, as well as stuff I bought myself this weekend.
Friday night I had some friends over for drinks, a catch up and all round birthday merriment. I've been so preoccupied with work experience (my 160 hours are done, by the way), work and Tafe that I haven't had time to see a lot of my friends in ages so it was a fantastic to see everyone again! As I'm sure you can imagine, I was spoilt too.
My friend, Emily, bought me a beautiful Kate Moss perfume, Lilabelle. It smells beautiful and I love the bottle so much. The Kate Moss Perfume website describes the perfume as 'a pretty, soft fruity floriental which surprises with its tender and elegant touch'. I know that does little to describe the smell but, trust me, it's really nice.
I was given a pair of beautiful earrings by one of my friends, Jacinta, and I can not wait to wear them!
Jarrad, a friend that knows me all too well, gave me a voucher for Typo to buy a case for my new 13" MacBook Air! I'm so excited to go pick one out, even though their best designs only come in 11" and 15". Last but not least, I was also given some alcohol, which will definitely come in handy!
Left to Right: 329, 402, 21 and 395
A make up obsessed friend of mine, Amy at Following the Reader, gave me a four pan Inglot Freedom Palette (and yes, I died when I saw it) with the shades 21, 329, 395 and 402. Unfortunately their names do absolutely nothing to give the shades away, but the photos give you an indication. My friend, Emily, bought me a beautiful Kate Moss perfume, Lilabelle. Whilst shopping I also decided to buy myself a couple of presents. Why? Because it was my birthday the next day and, well, I don't need an excuse to shop. I bought myself a Casual Colour lip and cheek tint in Keep It Loose! and a lipstick in Creme Cup. I've heard a lot about Creme Cup but it never appealed to me. That is, however, until I found out that my shopping companion was wearing it and, well, I fell in love. MAC describes Creme Cup as a light blue based pink and Keep It Loose! as a warm peach.
Last night I went to Lady Gaga's first Perth concert. Wow. What a lady! I'm not a hardcore Gaga fan but I knew she'd put on a fantastic show so my friend and I decided to get tickets. Her costumes were incredible, her singing was amazing and, of course, her hair and make up was awesome!

Anyway, all that brings me to today, my birthday. Today was all about money. My immediate family all gave me money, as requested, to pay for some of my laptop that I mentioned earlier. We all went out for breakfast and then I went to a football game with my Mum. My team won, which was nice, so it was a pretty good day!
So, ladies and gentlemen, I think that's everything. I have received other bits and pieces throughout the week for my birthday, however uploading everything would be cruel. All in all, I've had a great day and I want to thank everyone for their birthday wishes.
As I said above, I bought a bottle of 250g Snow Fairy bottle wash for a lucky viewer. The To find out how to win, click below.

ReplyDeleteEvery birthday has always been my favorite..especially as a kid. My bday is the day after Christmas and my parents were always very good at making it a special day for me.
ReplyDeleteI have had to think long and hard about this as I couldn't choose my own favourite birthday but my favourite 'birth'day belongs to all of my children. Each year on thir birthday I remember what I was up to during each part of the day. All 4 were born at very different times of the 24 hr clock. I can honestly say that my favourite birthdays belong to them.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite birthday wAs my 22nd or 20th- my only ever surprise party organized by my friends. I love organizing do's and it was such a lovely surprise to have it done for me in return!
ReplyDeleteI have been lucky to have many memorable birthdays, but this one was a real surprise at a time when I really needed it :)
