Lust Have It! June, 2012

My June Lust Have It! box arrived today and, to be honest, it was pretty underwhelming. In saying that, though, last month's box was the best I've ever received from a beauty subscription service so my expectations very pretty high.

This month Lust Have It! sent their boxes with a new courier service (bye, Australia Post) and subscribers no longer receive a dispatch notification and/or tracking number. Living so far away, I missed having the tracking number. No dispatch notification also meant that I had no idea whether my box was on its way or not. Oh well. It arrived safe and sound.
This month's products came in a purple make up bag. I'm still lovin' the make up bags, Lust Have It! I used one recently actually. I think I will also use these bags for packaging for a couple of giveaways I have coming up. Stay tuned!

I only received this box today, so I'm unable to review the products. Instead, I'll type out the information provided to me so you're able to get some insight into the items. If possible, I'll also include my initial thoughts.

LonVitalite: 24K Active Golden Yulan Oil Face Mask - RRP $59.00 for a 5 pack
I received one face mask
"This luxurious beauticians product contains pure whitening essence milk and ultra fine gold foil to even out pigment and repair sun damage and promote micro circulation to rejuvenate mind, body, soul and skin! You will feel this product work."
This sounds pretty good to me. As can tell tell from my LUSH Skin Challenge, I'm all about clearing my skin up at the moment so, although this isn't about clearing skin up, it sounds like it'd work well for my redness. Sheet masks freak me out but I think I just need to get over that.

LonVitalite: 24K Active Gold Full Eye Mask - RRP $45.00 pack of 5
I received one pack of eye masks
"Boosts circulation around the eyes removing dark circles, reducing any swelling and tiredness. Highly nourishing and hydrating, contains Vit B3, mulberry extract and grape leaf essence. You will feel this product work."
I like the sound of this. I've had quite dark circles under my eyes recently (it's these 6am wake ups for work experience, I tell ya) and this product sounds like it might be able to sort them out for me.
Batiste Blush Dry Shampoo - RRP $9.95 for 100mL
I received a 50mL sample bottle
"Winner of Beauty Heaven's 2011 Glosscars and 7 UK beauty awards including InStyle's 100 Best Beauty Buys. Essential for every busy woman's handbag and desk drawer. With notes of red hibiscus, orange, freesia, peony and lily, absorbs and removes impurities to leave hair soft, fresh and revitalised."
I'm a big fan of dry shampoo. In saying that, however, I've never tried a Batiste one? Why? Because whenever I go to buy one the fragrances deter me. For some reason, I hate the smell of Batiste dry shampoos. This one is probably the most pleasant I've ever smelt and I'm quite pleased to have this product in my box. I can finally try dry shampoo! Here's hoping I like it more than the $22.95 one I use.

Bloom Glitter Eyeliner - RRP $14.95 for 4g
I received a full size eyeliner in Star Gazer
"Loaded with micro glitter particles this on trend eyeliner adds show stopping sparkle to amp up any look. This gel based formula is easy to use for a precise and defined line of sparkle. Wear alone or layered over an eye pencil for extra intensity."
This was probably the most disappointing product for me, purely because I will never use it. I'm not a fan of glitter eyeliner on myself (and rarely on other people). If I was to use it, however, it would be in black so, for that reason, I'm happy with the colour. I can't decide whether to use this product in a giveaway or keep it for the Lady Gaga concert. What do you think?

Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh - RRP $80.00 for 30mL, $90.00 for 50mL 0r $115.00 for 75mL
I received a 1.2mL sample of this perfume
"A spirited new version of the original Daisy fragrance. Floral, fruit fragrance with top notes of ruby red grapefruit, raspberry, green leaves and pear."
Marc Jacobs Daisy - RRP $80.00 for 30mL, $90.00 for 50mL 0r $115.00 for 75mL
I received a 1.2mL sample of this perfume
"The fragrance of youthful sophistication. The top notes of strawberry, violet and ruby red grapefruit make a fresh impact. A base of musk, vanilla and white woods balance out tones of gardenia and jasmine."
Although I really like the smell of both of these perfumes, I think I prefer the original Daisy. As you all know, I'm a huge fan of perfume samples, so I'm loving this!

So that was my June Lust Have It! box. What did you think? Were you a bit underwhelmed at this box? What was your favourite/least favourite item?

Sophie
