House of Harlow and Lovisa Haul

I've never really mentioned this before, as this is primarily a beauty blog, but I love earrings. In any outfit my earrings and/or rings are statement jewellery pieces. In fact, I have been referred to as the girl with the 'weird rings'. Why? Because I'm a massive fan of the 2+ finger rings or rings with bizarre pictures. 

As far as earrings go, however, I'm a bit weird. I know I said I love earrings, but I'm very specific. I'm a real stud person. By studs, I don't mean the tiny ones that ears are pierced with. I just mean any earrings that aren't dangly. There's probably a better word for it, but I can't think of it. I'm sure you'll get the point as you read on.

I arrived home with five new pairs of earrings today, although they weren't all purchased today. Two pairs were ordered from a House of Harlow sale on OzSale just over a month ago; the other three were bought today.

The above two pairs of earrings were ordered from OzSale. They were both $16.00 each, with an additional $9.50 for postage. The top pair of earrings are Sunburst Earrings with Gray Leather. They're no longer on the House of Harlow website, so I don't know their retail price, but they're on other sites for $30+. The second pair are Antiqued Arrow Stud Earrings in gold. These earrigns are still on the website and they're sold for $30.00.


I really like both these pairs of earrings. The second pair of earrings were a bit of an impulse buy because I was already getting the first, but I like them! Both pairs are different to what I normally see around the place and I love that. I'm so glad I got them!

The above earrings were purchased at Lovisa. No, you're not seeing double of the first pair. Yes, there is a story behind it.

The first pair of earrings were $9.99 each. I've actually owned these earrings since December and I've totally fallen in love with them, especially the gold pair. They're the perfect earrings for any occasion, outfit and hair style. The thing is though, they've tarnished. My gold and silver pairs are no longer true to colour and I HAD to replace them. 

The second pair of earrings were $12.99. They're a bit more 'blingy' than I normally go for, but I'm obsessed with turquoise so I figure I can do it. 

And now on to why I bought two sets of the first pair. Lovisa was having a 'Buy Two Get One Free' promotion and, given that I was going to get both pairs, I was entitled to a freebie. There was nothing else that appealed to me, however, so I got two pairs. A family friend was recently commenting on them, so I might give a pair to her. Otherwise I have a spare set for myself and I don't have to worry about painting them with clear nail polish!
