LUSH Cosmetics Shopping List

"LUSH produces fresh-made soaps, shampoos, shower gels, lotions, moisturisers, scrubs and other cosmetics for the face, hair, and body using 100% vegetarian recipes. It also produces unique products like solid or dry shampoos, "Shower Jellies", gelatin-like semi-solid shampoo and body wash; "Toothy Tabs", solid toothpaste tablets; and "Bath Bombs", solid balls made of sodium bicarbonate that fizz with difference scents and colours when dropped in the bath tub. LUSH products are handmade in factories around the world, and are made in small batches based on orders from individual stores to ensure freshness of the product. LUSH stores do not sell products older than four months and moth products have a total shelf life of approximately 14 months. In addition to not using animal fats in their products, they are also against animal testing and perform tests solely with volunteers instead."

LUSH is one of those brands that everyone 'oohs' and 'aahs' over. Well, I think they do! I've only ever had one product from LUSH, some Rock Star soap, and I loved it. Over the past 6 months (give or take) I've been watching reviews of a number of different products on YouTube and decided enough was enough, I need myself some LUSH!

Anyway, here's my shopping list. I'll include a little bit of the information from the LUSH website for each product to give you a bit of background information and reasoning behind my want.
  • Fresh Farmacy: Cleansing chamomile and calamine bar for troublesome skin. Fresh Farmacy is the soothing, cleansing bar to reach for whenever you see a spot rearing its ugly head
  • Grease Lightning: Grease Lightning dries up spots and makes them disappear, not quite at the speed of light, but pretty quickly. We all quickly dab on a bit of transparent gel at the first feeling of impending spottiness
  • Tea Tree Water: Tea tree is extremely soothing and can work wonders on troubled or oily skin
  • Cupcake face mask: Chocolate heaven for oily and teenage skin. Its action removes excess oil and calms breakouts. Apply to clean skin, avoiding the eye area. Leave for five to ten minutes and rinse away with warm water. Keep chilled.
  • Rock Star Soap: The Rock Star soap smells just like Creamy Candy bath, so all you budding starlets can shower and bathe with our sweet vanilla perfume. Here's a soap for all of us who know we ought to be attracted to sophisticated beiges and navy blues, but can't help grabbing everything pink!
  • Mint Julips lip scrub: Our fabulous lip scrubs are here to keep your kissers sweet. When you use Mint Julips, you'll find yourself craving a bowl of mint-chocolate chip ice cream.

So far, that's my shopping list. It's a lot, right? I worked out that it's going to cost me just under $85.00 for everything on the shopping list and, let's face it, we all know I'll get random stuff when I'm in there too. Please tell me if you've used any of these products, ladies and gents. As always, I'd love to hear your reviews.

As you can see I have a big focus on my skin at the moment. Don't get me wrong, I love my Garnier Pure Active ExfoBrush Cleanser, but I've been using it for so long that I want to try something else. I'll be documenting how my skin is going whilst using only LUSH products so please stay tuned. As you may have noticed, however, I'm missing a moisturiser. Please help! I don't know which LUSH moisturiser is best suited to my skin type. Also, some of them are realllly expensive. If you have a moisturiser recommendation (doesn't have to be a LUSH product), please let me know about it in the comments below.

I'm not sure whether I want the Mint Julip or Bubblegum lip scrub, but I'll decide when I head in there and get to smell them both. Do you have one of the lip scrubs? If so, which? What do you think of it?

I think that's it for today. As I said, don't forget to recommend LUSH products, moisturiser and/or anything else down below and I can't wait to post my haul. Oh, in case you're wondering, I'm heading into LUSH on Saturday.
STAY TUNED: There is a LUSH giveaway in the works
**All product information was taken from LUSH's Australian site

Always look your best,
Sophie

    1. Oh really? Did she like it? It's definitely not one of the products I NEED (well, I don't actually need any of it) but I figure when in Rome, haha.

  2. I remember someone in Lush tried to sell me the lip scrub to go with the lip balm and I was all "Exactly what would a lip scrub do for me?" and I just didn't get it. When I got to the register another salesperson tried to upsell me the lip scrub and the other salesperson goes "No, we've got a sensible one here." Ha ha. :)
