1 Skin Solution Review

Top: Bath and Shower Crystals
Middle: Vanilla Lip Balm
Bottom (left to right): Vanilla Bean Body Cream and
Lime Thyme Body Wash
I was recently lucky enough to receive four products from 1 Skin Solution, as featured in my Valentine's Day haulI've really enjoyed all of these products. Keep reading to find out why.

"At 1 Skin Solution we want to give you the ultimate home spa experience. Our range of luxury bath and body products is designed to leave your skin feeling exquisitely soft and smelling gorgeous and your body feeling relaxed and pampered.
All of our products are made from natural ingredients to nourish, exfoliate, soothe and replenish your skin without stripping it of its important natural

The range includes

  • Lime Thyme Body Wash made from herbs and essential oils, leaves skin feeling soft and silky

Vanilla Lip Balm
This product was definitely my favourite product from 1 Skin Solution but I'm sure that's no surprises there, given my beauty obsession. This lip balm smells absolutely amazing. The vanilla scent is perfect; it doesn't smell artificial and it's not overpowering. The lip balm is really moisturising, which is fantastic. I've found that the lip balm leaves a slight greasy feel to my lip balm, but I don't dislike it. Greasy might not even be the best word for it, but it has a smooth finish.

You may recognise this lip balm from my March Lust Have It! box. It's the same product, yes, but in pink packaging.
Vanilla Bean Body Cream
Much like the lip balm, this smells amazing. Again, the vanilla scent is perfect; it doesn't smell artificial and it's not overpowering. I really like this body cream. I wouldn't rely on this body cream as a moisturiser, however. I find that it 'melts' as soon as it touches my skin but, to be honest, I really like that. Given that it 'melts' so quickly, it gets absorbed into the skin really fast. I've also found that the scent stays on my skin for a really long time but, as I said, it's not overpowering.
Bath and Shower Crystals
Again, this product smells absolutely amazing. I'm terrible at describing scents but it's a beautiful combination of lime and lavender. It's so refreshing and perfect for a morning wake up. As a general rule, I don't like bath and shower crystals. I like the exfoliating concept, however I don't the oily feeling bath crystals leave on my skin.

In saying this, however, I don't mind this product. As I said, the scent is absolutely amazing. I really liked the way the crystals exfoliated my skin. Although the product leaves my skin feeling slightly oily, I don't mind because it feels so smooth.
Lime Thyme Body Wash
This is the product I liked the least. When I first received this product, I feel like the body wash smelt like the Bath and Shower Crystals. A few days later, however, it smelt very different.  There's a good chance that I'm crazy and forgot the real smell, though, because how often do fragrances change? Anyway, regardless of what happened, I don't like the smell. If this product smelt like the Bath and Shower Crystals, it would be the perfect product as I really like how it leaves my skin.

Anyway, ladies and gents, those are all the products I received from 1 Skin Solutions. My favourites are definitely the two vanilla scented products; the vanilla lip balm and the vanilla bean body cream. They smell amazing and are two fantastic products. I'm definitely not saying that the body crystals and wash aren't great products, I just prefer the other two.

** Please be aware: These products were sent me for review, however all opinions are my own. I was not paid for this review. The products featured in the photos are sample sized, except for the lip balm. That is not the size of the retail products.

Always look your best,
Sophie

  1. Hi Sophie, can you explain the process and attach links for us to get the packages you review? Are they free, is there charge? I have seen your review on the two or three you subscribe to. Which one is the best? Or is it a case of what products you prefer? Also my daughter has a brilliant eye shadow brush. Can you recommend where I can purchase the best quality and price make up brushes?
    Thanks babe xxx from Kim

    1. Hi, Kim. When you say packages, do you mean the beauty boxes I'm subscribed to? If so, each is $14.95 a month. At the moment I'm subscribed to two, although I'm being sent a third for review.
In my opinion, it's definitely a case of what you want out of your boxes. Obviously I'm all about the make up so I love boxes that give me a great selection of cosmetic products. Last month I reviewed the two boxes I'm subscribed to. Click here to see more. I tried to be as detailed as possible, so I hope it helped. I've also posted the contents of each box I've received. If you go through my posts month by month (using the tool on the right) you'll be able to see what I've received.
At the moment I'm subscribed to Lust Have It and
      Glossy Box.
As for make up brushes, I really like Sigma brushes. Click here to be taken to the Sigma website. The brushes are incredibly well priced, fantastic quality and postage is quick. I have a selection of Sigma brushes that I'll be reviewing soon so, if you want more information, stay tuned. Also, Sigma is having 10% off all products this March if you use the coupon code 'MARCH2012'

I hope this answered all your questions!

    1. No worries. As far as value for money goes, it depends on what you want. I definitely think each box is worth more than the $14.95 we pay, but whether you're happy with it will be determined by what you're most interested in.

In each of my Lust Have It! and Glossy Box posts I've included the retail price of products in the box. Checking those out might provide you with better insight. x
