I've just gotten back from a five day family holiday (in Hopetoun, between Esperance and Albany) for my Granddad's 80th.
Before I left I bought some toiletries that I'd been meaning to get for ages, including more cleanser (I use and love Garnier Pure Active Exfo Brusher). While I was there, I noticed that the Garnier Clean Detox Refreshing Cleansing Wipes were on sale so I decided to give them a try. I used them every night while I was away (they were used a total of 5 times) and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. I've had a massive breakout.
While I was away, two things became blatantly obvious; my make up bag is too small and I over pack my make up! I packed a ridiculous amount for the small amount of time that I was away.
Want to know what I packed? Read on.
- Laura Mercier Oil-Free Tinted Moisturiser in Nude
- Maybelline Fit Me! Foundation #115 Ivory (I'm not too keen on the foundation but I figured it was okay for a family holiday)
- Maybelline Fit Me! Concealer #10 Light
- Maybelline Mineral Powder Finishing Veil Powder Light (actually a good, handy powder)
- Revlon "A Floral Affair" Sheer Powder Blush #460 Hushed
- BYS Powder Blush #4 Candy Floss
- Napoleon Perdis Cruise Blush in Atlantic
- L'Oreal HIP (High Intensity Pigment) Shadow Duo #310 Shocked
- Rimmel London Special Effects #022 Inspiration
- Revlon Colorstay "12 Hour Eye Shadow" Quad #06 In The Buff
- Revlon "CustomEyes" #010 Sweet Innocence
- Napoleon Perdis Loose Dust Ice Storm
- Benefit Big Beautiful Eyes kit
- Urban Decay Primer Potion (depotted)
- Benefit Ooh La Lift
- Benefit Erase Paste #2 Medium
- Napoleon Perdis China Doll Eyeliner in Equinox
- Aveda Eye Definer #922 Lily
- Covergirl PerfectBlend Eyeliner in Basic Black
- Max Factor Lash Extension Effect in Black (yes, I finally got the black!)
- Benefit Bad Gal Mascara Black
- Covergirl Natureluxe Gloss Balm #265 Sandstone
- Maybelline Watershine #51 Peach Juice
- Revlon Colorburst lip stick #065 Rosy Nude
- MAC Venomous Villains lip gloss in Strange Potion (somehow I managed to lose it and I want to cry)
- The Body Shop "Born Lippy" Strawberry lip balm
This make up bag is fairly small but somehow I managed to fit all the make up in that. My brushes were packed in a small pencil case. |
- Nude by Nature Mineral Brush
- Manicare Precision Blending Brush
- Foundation brush (I use it to contour)
- Napoleon Perdis Angle Eyeliner Brush
- 2 x blush brush
- 3 x flat eyeshadow brushes
- 2 x fluffy blending eyeshadow brushes
My make up bag is also ridiculously small and I'm looking to upgrade. If you can recommend a good place to get a large train case (without the shelving, they annoy me!), please leave a comment below.
When I got home there was a parcel for me, YAY! It was a new piece of make up that I'd been waiting a long time for and I think I love it already. I can't wait to review it for you guys.
Always look your best,
Sophie
